Al-Sadd won the 2024 Amir Cup after a 1-0 victory over Qatar SC in the final match, which was played at the Education City Stadium on Friday.
Mateus Uribe scored the winner in the 118th minute, after the game had moved on to extra time following a goalless stalemate in normal time. Al-Sadd ended the game with ten men after Akram Afif was sent off in the 109th minute, following a VAR review for a challenge on Bruno Tabata.
The victory gave Al-Sadd their 19th Amir Cup victory, and 79th overall title.
