Al-Sadd reached the final of the Emir Cup 2021, after defeating Al-Arabi 3-0 in the semifinal clash that took place on Sunday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium
The Wolves will now await the winner of thr other semifinal between Al-Duhail and Al-Rayyan.
Nam Tae-hee opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a header, after a cross delivered by Yousuf Abdurisag from the right. Despite creating several more chances, Al Sadd couldn’t score again in the first half but after the break, the team was finally able to add to their lead.
The goal arrived in the 56th minute. Hassan Al Haydos set up Baghdad Bounedjah in the box, and the latter made no mistake with his powerful finish past Al Arabi keeper Mahmoud Abunada.
In the 79th minute, Bounedjah was involved in bringing about the third goal as well, winning a penalty after he was brought down by Abunada. Santi Cazorla then stepped up and converted the spot-kick to conclude the scoring.
