On Monday, Al-Sadd’s first team completed its training in preparation for their match against Al-Markhiya in the Round of 16 of the 2023 Amir Cup, scheduled for Tuesday evening at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
Al-Sadd is known for its success in the Amir Cup, having won the title the most number of times, with their latest victory coming in 2021.
After the final training session, head coach Juanma revealed the matchday squad. The list includes Saad Al-Dosari, Jehad Muhammad, Pedro Miguel, Bahaa Al-Laithi, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Santi Cazorla, Baghdad Bounedjah, Ayoub Al-Kaabi, Akram Afif, Khokhi Boualem, Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Ahmed Al-Saeed, Musaab Khidir, Hassan Al-Haydos, Abdulrahman Rashid, Tarek Salman, Moaz Al-Wadiya, Abdulrahman Bakri, Guilherme Torres, Ali Asad, and Hashim Ali.
Rodrigo Tabata and Muhammad Waad are still undergoing treatment to recover from their injuries, while goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham is currently under medical observation.
