Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah, spoke of his happiness at winning the QNB Stars League title for the second year in a row.
In his statement to the media after lifting the league shield, the Algerian said: “It is not easy to win two league titles without losing in a row.”
He added: “The joy today is indescribable. I was hoping to participate and score, but the season has not ended yet. We still have matches in the Amir Cup and the Champions League. I would like to dedicate the title to my wife, my family and the fans who always stood by us.”
He continued, “I am happy at Al Sadd and I will continue with the team, especially as I am on the verge of reaching the World Cup with the Algerian national team, God willing, in Qatar.”
