Baghdad Bounedjah returns to the matchday squad, as Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Duhail

The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the Amir Cup 2020 semifinal against Al-Duhail, with the last training session on Friday evening. The game is set to kick off at 6 PM on Saturday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Head coach Xavi oversaw the final touches to the team’s preparations for the game, and after the end of the session, he announced the matchday squad. The 23-member squad is as follows: Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Muhammad, Yousuf Al-Baloushi, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro, Hassan Al-Haydos, Muhammad Waad, Nam Tae-hee, Tarek Salman, Khoukhi Boualem, Bahaa El-Leithi, Baghdad Bounedjah, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Santi Cazorla, Abdelkarim Hassan, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hashim Ali, Akram Afif, Hossam Kamal, Musaab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail.

The squad announcement saw the return of Algerian international striker Baghdad Bounedjah, after his recovery from a knee ligament injury. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Saad Al-Dosari remains unavailable, as he is undergoing treatment with the medical staff of the Qatar national team, after suffering an injury in the international friendly against Ghana.

The Wolves later departed for an overnight camp at the Al-Messila Hotel, from where they will travel to the stadium on Saturday.
