Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah expressed his immense joy in achieving a 5-1 victory over Al-Shahania, leading the team to qualify for the 2023 Amir Cup final.
After the match, Bounedjah stated, “Al-Sadd deserved the win against Al-Shahania, and we deserve to qualify for the final. All the players performed exceptionally well.”
Bounedjah also said: “This match was a remarkable moment for me as I scored my 201st goal in the club’s shirt, with these two goals.”
He admitted that he had a feeling that he would score in the Al-Shahania match.
The Algerian also revealed that Santi Cazorla took the penalty kick during the match due to the coaching staff’s instructions, saying: “Cazorla is the first player to take penalty kicks, and the club has a system that we cannot deviate from.”
