Al-Sadd head coach Bruno Miguel has confirmed the readiness of his team, ahead of the opening game of the 2023-24 Expo Stars League season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Bruno said: “I am happy to be here at Al-Sadd for the beginning of the new season. I am happy with the structure at the club and the players of the team. We start this week against Umm Salal. We are expecting a tough match, especially as everything is new at the start of the season. Our objective is to win the match.”
He added: “As a coach, of course I would like to have more time to prepare the team. But we know that it is our job to work with the time that we have. The King Salman Club Cup was a good chance for us to compete, and it has helped us prepare for the season and I believe we will be fully ready for the first match.”
About the fans’ expectations before the first game, the coach said: “Our fans can expect a very competitive team that will always try to be better than the opponent. We believe that mentality improves our chances of winning. I am confident that we can win the title and this is a club that demands it from us, and this is why we are here.”
