Bruno Miguel, the head coach of the Al-Sadd, anticipates an intense showdown in the upcoming match against Al Gharafa, a team he described as brimming with motivation after their recent victory over Al-Duhail.
“Yes, it will be for sure an open match that both teams will want to win,” Bruno remarked at the pre-match press conference. “We will face Al Gharafa, which is motivated by the last match in which they got the winning goal at the end. So it will be a difficult match for us, but I’m sure it will also be difficult for Al Gharafa.”
Reflecting on their recent performance against Qatar SC, Bruno expressed satisfaction with the team’s victory.
“We won our last game against Qatar SC, and I think we deserved to win,” he stated. “To be honest, there were some complicated moments during the game, but football is like that. The level of the league has increased this season, and all the teams have good players. So I think it will be a difficult season. All the matches will be very hard. The game against Qatar SC was hard, but in the end, we won, and I really feel we deserved to win.”
Despite a congested calendar and some player availability challenges, Bruno emphasized the team’s ability to compete.
“It’s true that we have a congested calendar as we are playing and recovering after one game and then the next,” he explained. “We are facing some problems with the availability of some players. But in the end, the players on the pitch are showing that they are able to compete. The lineup that we select has always competed very well to win the matches.”
He concluded by saying: “This game will be like the others more or less, as we have certain absentees, but we will be there to win.”
