Al-Sadd defeat Muaither 3-1 in preseason friendly

Al-Sadd’s first team achieved a 3-1 victory against Muaither in a friendly match held today, Friday, at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, as part of preparations for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.

Emmauel Infante: We made several mistakes which contributed to Al-Shorta’s goals

Emmanuel Infante, the assistant coach of Al-Sadd, expressed his disappointment following the team’s 2-4 loss to Iraq’s Al-Shorta in the quarter-final match of the King Salman Club Cup.

During the post-match press conference, Infante shared his thoughts, “We had control of the ball in the first half, but after Al-Shorta’s equalizing goal, our confidence took a hit compared to the beginning of the match. They capitalized on counter-attacks and secured the victory.” ... 

King Salman Club Cup: Al-Sadd lose 4-2 to Al-Shorta

Al-Sadd’s journey in the King Salman Club Cup came to an end as they faced a 4-2 defeat against Iraq’s Al-Shorta in the quarter-final match held on Saturday, August 5th, at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

The match kicked off with both teams displaying quick and enthusiastic play. Al-Shorta came close to an early lead in the 2nd minute, but Al-Sadd’s goalkeeper, Meshaal Barsham, made timely saves, denying them twice. ... 

Al-Sadd to play in white, Al-Shorta in green

Al-Sadd’s team will wear their white home jersey during the match against Iraq’s Al-Shorta in the quarter-finals of the King Salman Club Cup, while Al-Shorta will play in green.

This was decided during the technical meeting held at the meeting hall in Youth Club at the Sports City in Abha, in the presence of Al-Sadd team manager Abdullah Al-Bureik, and first team officer Abdulaziz Al-Jaiedy, in addition to officials from the Al-Shorta team, and representatives from the organising committee. ...
