Bruno Miguel, the head coach of the Al-Sadd, anticipates an intense showdown in the upcoming match against Al Gharafa, a team he described as brimming with motivation after their recent victory over Al-Duhail.

“Yes, it will be for sure an open match that both teams will want to win,” Bruno remarked at the pre-match press conference. “We will face Al Gharafa, which is motivated by the last match in which they got the winning goal at the end. So it will be a difficult match for us, but I’m sure it will also be difficult for Al Gharafa.” ... 

Al-Sadd’s Mohammed Waad expressed his happiness with the significant 3-1 victory that the team achieved over Qatar SC, in the fourth week of the Expo Stars League.

Al-Sadd emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline against Qatar SC in their fourth-round clash of the 2023/2024 Expo Stars League season, which was held on Saturday at the Khalifa International Stadium.

With this win, Al-Sadd have increased their tally to 10 points in the league standings, after securing three wins and a draw. Al-Sadd’s goals came from Gonzalo Plata in the 16th minute, Akram Afif in the 64th minute from a penalty kick, and Paulo Otavio in the 80th minute. On the opposing side, Qatar’s solitary goal was netted by Ben Malango in the 20th minute. ... 

The Al-Sadd first team concluded its training today, Friday, in preparation for the match against Qatar SC, in the fourth week of the Expo Stars League, which will kick off at 8:00 PM on Saturday at Khalifa International Stadium.

The Wolves enter the match in fourth place with 7 points from two wins and a draw, and the team aims to return to victory and secure three points to continue competing for the top spot. ... 

Al-Sadd’s Abdullah Al-Yazidi described the challenge of facing Qatar SC in the fourth week of the Expo Stars League as ‘tough’, while reiterating that the team is focused on getting back to winning ways.

During the press conference, Al-Yazidi stated: “Certainly, the match against Qatar will be extremely tough. At Al-Sadd, we have a high level of focus and confidence, with the aim of returning to winning ways after our recent draw against Al-Wakrah in the league.” ...

Al-Haydos stated in his remarks after the match, “We entered the match with the goal of winning and securing the three points, but we didn’t succeed. Luck was not with us in taking advantage of the opportunities presented to us and converting them into goals.” ...

Al-Sadd played out a goalless draw against the UAE’s Sharjah in the opening match of Group B of the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League. The match was played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Monday evening.
