Felix Sanchez: Al-Sadd all set to face Al-Shahania

Al-Sadd head coach Felix Sanchez emphasized his team’s readiness to face Al-Shahania in Matchweek 18 of the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sanchez said: “We are approaching the end of the season, with only five matches left. This is another big game for us, almost like a final. We are also in the AFC Champions League Round of 16, so we haven’t had much time to prepare.”

He continued: “If we want to catch up with Al-Duhail, we must win. That is the only result that will help us, and we are well aware of that.”

Sanchez acknowledged Al-Shahania’s strong performances this season, stating: “They have had an impressive season, particularly in the second half of the campaign. Beating them won’t be easy. However, at this stage, we are in a good position in terms of results, and we will continue to push forward, applying pressure on the leading teams as much as possible.”

Ahmed Suhail: We Aim to Keep Winning Streak Alive

Al-Sadd defender Ahmed Suhail stressed the importance of preparing well for the upcoming match against Al-Shahania.

“This is a crucial match for us in the league campaign. We have secured back-to-back wins against Al-Duhail and Al-Gharafa, and we aim to continue this winning streak by earning another three points,” Ahmed stated.

He concluded: “The league competition is very tough. We always strive to give our best and secure victories in every match. We also count on the support of our fans, who play a major role in motivating us to keep winning.”
