Al-Sadd midfielder Guilherme spoke of the difficulty of the upcoming game against Qatar SC in Round 15 of the Expo Stars League.
“We know it will be a very tough match, just like the situation was in the first one, as we haven’t played for almost two months,” said Guilherme, while addressing the pre-match press conference.
“We had a very difficult game against Al-Wakrah, but now we know that facing Qatar will be even harder. Nevertheless, I believe we are ready to deliver a good performance. A team aspiring to be champions must overcome all challenges, and we will certainly exert every effort to secure all three points.”
He added: “As I mentioned, the Al-Wakrah match was extremely tough due to several reasons such as the long period without playing and the absence of many players in the team. It was exhausting, but we managed to secure a draw, which wasn’t a bad result.”
“Of course, we wanted to win the match to extend our lead in the league standings, but this is part of football. Now, we must continue this work and maintain this focus to achieve our goals.”
Guilherme also spoke of the importance of winning the next game at home, saying: “We will play against Qatar at our stadium and in front of our fans, so we must seize the three points to widen the gap in the league table because we aim to be champions.”
