Hassan Al-Haydos, the captain of Al-Sadd, expressed his deep sorrow over the 1-3 loss to Umm Salal in the fourth round of the QNB Stars League.
In his statements after the match, Al-Haydos said: “Congratulations to Umm Salal and hard luck to Al-Sadd fans. Praise be to God. This is football, and we must give to the game in order to receive from it.”
He added: “We need to avoid the mistakes we made tonight, in future matches. Today was a lesson for us, and we must learn from it.”
Regarding the upcoming match against Al-Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite, Al-Haydos said: “The Champions League Elite is a prestigious tournament, and we always aspire to win it. We need to start strong against Al-Ain and be fully prepared for the next game.”
