Al-Sadd captain Hassan Al-Haydos affirmed his team’s readiness to face Qatar SC in the final of the 2024 Amir Cup.
During the press conference, Al-Haydos stated, “We are delighted to reach the final and to have the honour of meeting His Highness the Amir. Our preparations for the match are as strong as for any significant final. We will enter the match with determination and resolve to win the cup.”
The captain continued, “Cup matches are about winning, not just playing, and that’s what happened against Al-Wakrah and Al-Duhail. We succeeded as a team in winning these tough matches without conceding any goals in the last two games.”
Al-Haydos noted that the final against Qatar SC will be challenging as they are an ambitious and fighting team. “We are ready in all aspects to achieve victory,” he added.
Regarding the departure of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, Al-Haydos commented, “Baghdad is a legendary striker and, in my opinion, the best foreign player in Al-Sadd’s history due to his consistent excellence. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
