Team captain Hassan Al Haydos expressed his deep joy after Al Sadd was crowned Ooredoo Stars League champions for the 2024–2025 season.
He said: “It’s a great feeling to achieve this milestone. Every fan is celebrating today after a well-earned and deserved title win.”
He added: “Winning the league this season was a real challenge for us. As players, we pledged from the start of the season to defend our title. Claiming the shield wasn’t easy, especially after trailing behind the leaders for 20 rounds. But in every match, we entered with the mindset of winning.”
Akram Afif: Winning the League Is the Result of a Full Season’s Work
Al Sadd star Akram Afif said the league triumph was the result of hard work throughout the entire season, during which the team consistently performed at a high level.
“Thank God for the win, the title, and lifting the 18th league shield in Al Sadd’s history,” he said. “It’s undoubtedly a special and memorable day in our journey this season, where we showed determination and hunger to win the title.”
He continued: “We faced strong competition from other teams, but Al Sadd always proved its strength in every match. This season had its own flavor, and winning the league truly feels like a massive accomplishment—it’s the reward for a full season of effort.”
He concluded: “All thanks to my teammates for their hard work. Everyone gave their best, and this title is the result of a collective effort. Thanks also to coach Félix Sánchez, his staff, and the management team. It was a complete system that worked together to bring this title home.”
Mostafa Tarek: Winning the League Title One of the Best Moments of the Season
Midfielder Mostafa Tarek described winning the league title as one of the season’s most beautiful moments.
He congratulated his teammates, the coaching staff, and the club management for this achievement, which adds another trophy to Al Sadd’s illustrious and trophy-laden history.
He added: “Thank God for the win. We were determined to secure the title, and Al Sadd fully deserved to lift the shield this season for the 18th time in the club’s history. It was a tough season, but we managed to reclaim the title once again.”
He continued: “Everyone contributed to this achievement—from the administrative, technical, and medical staff to the players and the fans who stood by us. Winning the league has a unique feeling. When someone puts in great effort and sees it crowned by success, it naturally brings immense joy.”
