Al-Sadd’s first team continued its preparations at the club’s training centre, gearing up for the upcoming AFC Champions League game against Al-Faisaly of Jordan.
Today’s training session witnessed the full return of international players after their participation with the Qatari national team in the Jordan International Friendly Tournament in October. The session also included players from the Olympic team and foreign players who have concluded their international duties during the recent break.
Al-Sadd is preparing to face Al-Faisaly next Monday, October 23, at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. This match is part of the third round for Group B, which also includes Uzbekistan’s Nasaf and the UAE’s Sharjah.
So far, Al-Sadd has secured one point after two matches, with an initial goalless draw against Sharjah in the first round and a 3-1 defeat against Nasaf in the second round.
The upcoming match for Al-Sadd against Al-Faisaly will see the absence of star player Akram Afif, who was sent off in the last match against Nasaf.
