Al-Sadd coach Javi Gracia expressed his happiness after his team’s big 5-1 victory over Al-Gharafa, in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League. In his statement to the club’s website after the match, Gracia said: “We played a game that was not normal. We gave an extraordinary performance after we played more than 75 minutes with ten players, we controlled the game in an excellent way and scored five goals.”
The coach added: “The red card (to Akram) helped us to show our defensive side in some periods of the match, in addition to scoring five goals, and this gives us a great balance in the way the team plays.”
Gracia continued: “We will continue with the same way of playing. Today we broke the record and reached 42 matches without a loss. I am happy with all the players and the team’s performance today.”
