Al-Sadd head coach Juanma Lillo spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 12 game against Al-Markhiya.
At the pre-match press conference, Juanma said: “Every opponent and every match has its considerations. Al Markhiya is clearly a team with a lot of energy, very well-built. They have been promoted from the Second Division but it is not noticeable that they have not been in the first division recently.”
Asked about Al-Sadd’s defeat to Al-Markhiya in the first phase of the league, the coach said: “I think that in that game, like the other seven that we played in the League before the break, we played well. In that game, we had almost 35-40 minutes of good football and a 2-0 lead. The performance was very good.”
As for the team’s mood, Juanma stated: “Obviously, a victory is a victory, just as a defeat is a defeat. It is inevitable that the team’s mood changes depending on the results they are getting in the competition.”
He concluded by saying: “I am very happy with the return of the national team players. We are stronger now and we hope to get more victories.”
