Al-Sadd head coach Juanma addressed the media ahead of his side’s upcoming QNB Stars League Round 5 game against Al-Sailiya, which is set to be played on Tuesday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Juanma said: “Each team is different, which makes them a complicated opponent. Al Sailiya is a team with a lot of courage and energy.”
Asked if the defeat to Al-Gharafa will have an effect on the team, the coach replied: “Perhaps not. Sometimes in football you can win but the victory doesn’t make you feel safe. But sometimes, with defeats like in the other day when we played well with a numerical disadvantage, it can make us feel proud and be more secure.”
Rodrigo Tabata will be unavailable for the next two games due to suspension, and Juanma acknowledged his value, saying: “We know the level of Tabata and how important he can be, not only for Al Sadd but for any other team. we can’t hide behind his absence but obviously he is an important player.”
