Al-Sadd head coach Juanma Lillo spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming match against Al-Wakrah in Round 18 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, he said: “The next match against Al-Wakrah will be difficult because it is an organized team with good players. Like we say before every match, we know that every team has unique strengths, which makes every match challenging.”
As for the question if Al-Wakrah will enjoy the home advantage, the coach remarked: “There is no big difference between playing at home or away in this league, and we do not expect the atmosphere in Al-Wakrah’s stadium to affect the course of the match, because it is the same situation in every stadium.”
About his side’s chances of winning the title, Juanma said: “We know that we are in a difficult situation because our chances of winning the title do not depend only on us, because of our previous results before the World Cup, followed by a defeat against Al-Ahli and a draw against Al-Duhail.”
He added: “However, we are committed to giving our best in every game to get the three points. Our goal is not just to win, but to do it by playing well.”
