Al-Sadd head coach Juanma remarked that his side was closer to the getting the win against Umm Salal, after a 1-1 draw in the QNB Stars League Round 2 game, which was played on Tuesday at the Khalifa International Stadium.
Speaking after the game, the coach added: “We began the game well. The red card had a big impact on the game. Umm Salal’s players were more spirited playing with the numerical disadvantage.”
“We could have scored more than a goal, having controlled the game. We played with a lot of patience and surrounded our opponent in front of their goal. We were able to penetrate and create chances, but our finishing was bad.”
Juanma concluded by saying: “We will continue working hard. We understand our situation since the start of the league. We are playing without several players but we will continue our work so that we can improve and be better in the coming games.”
