Al-Sadd player Mohamed Waad described his side’s 2-1 victory over Al-Wakrah as the culmination of a season in which Al-Sadd achieved remarkable results, after winning the league title without a single defeat.
In his statement after the match, Waad said: “Today’s victory is the culmination of a long season. Our goal is to win every match, and we will work to achieve that against Al Duhail in the Amir Cup semi-finals.”
Regarding Salem Al-Hajri’s participation in the game after his return from injury, Waad said: “Salem is returning after a long absence due to injury and thank God he came back safely. I wish him success at the end of the season, with victory in the Amir Cup.”
