Al-Sadd’s only goal was scored by Hassan Al-Haydos in the 70th minute from a penalty kick. Umm Salal’s goals were scored by Kenji Joelle in the 2nd minute, Antonio Mance in the 22nd minute, and Edidiong Essien in the third minute of added time. The match also saw Al-Sadd player Mohammed Waad being sent off in the 53rd minute.
