Al-Sadd defeated Umm Salal 7-0 in their Qatargas U-23 League Round 7 game, which was played at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday.
The result increased Al-Sadd’s tally to 15 points from 7 games in the league table, where they occupy third place. The game saw the participation of goalkeeper Saad Al-Dosari, after his recovery from the injury that had ruled him out since mid-October, in addition to Ali Asad and Salem Al-Hajri, who had both been out of action for almost 10 months due to Achilles tendon injuries.
Ali Asad put Al-Sadd ahead in the 17th minute with the opening goal, before Hashim Ali scored twice (20′, 37′) to make it 3-0. Abdullah Bader then scored the fourth goal for the Wolves in the 38th minute to give them a 4-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Al-Sadd kept the scoring going, and an own goal from Umm Salal defender Saoud Riaz in the 48th minute took the score to 5-0. Mohammed Al Manai scored Al-Sadd’s sixth goal two minutes later, before substitute Abdullah Al-Ali completed the scoring with a free-kick in the 77th minute.

Rami Suhail, Fahad Masoud, Faisal Azadi, Abdullah Al-Ali and Yousuf Al-Baloushi came on as second half substitutes.
