Al-Sadd secured the Qatargas U23 League title for the first time in the club’s history after a 5-0 win over Al-Gharafa in the Round 20 game that was played on Friday at Al-Sailiya Club.
The result means that Al-Sadd now have 54 points and a six-point lead over second-placed Al-Gharafa, with two games remaining to be played and Al-Sadd’s superiroity in the head-to-head fixtures.
Hassan Ahmed gave Al-Sadd the lead in the 22nd minute and then doubled the advantage in the 40th. Abdullah Al-Yazidi added a third goal in the 48th minute, before Hashim Ali scored in the 60th minute to make it 4-0. Hassan Ahmed returned to complete his hat-trick and score Al-Sadd’s fifth goal in the 72nd minute.

Abdulrahman Masoud, Khaled Hussain, Mouaz Abdullah, Mohammed Nasser Al Mannai, and Rami Suhail came on as second-half substitutes.
