The Al-Sadd first team resumed their training at 5:30 PM on Wednesday at the club’s secondary pitch. This came just a day after the team’s big 3-1 win over Al-Duhail in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League.
It was Baghdad Bounedjah’s hattrick that powered the Wolves to the crucial win. The Algerian international is now the top scorer of the league with 15 goals.
Meanwhile, the result meant that Al-Sadd extended their lead at the top of the league table, with 38 points from 12 wins and two draws, and without any defeats.
Al-Sadd is now preparing to face Al-Khor in the Round 15 clash, that will be held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on the 20th of January.
During Wednesday’s training session, the players who appeared in the game on Tuesday underwent recovery training, in order to start their preparations for the next match.
The players of the first team will now get a break from training for a period of 3 days, before returning next Sunday evening to resume preparations for facing Al-Khor.
