Al-Sadd head coach Roberto Mancini stressed the importance of proper preparation ahead of the upcoming clash against Al-Rayyan in Round 20 of the Doha Bank Stars League, scheduled for Saturday evening at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al-Rayyan Club.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Mancini said: “It is clear that the match against Al-Rayyan will be highly competitive. However, we are working hard to secure all three points and improve our position in the standings.”
He added: “We are fully aware that the current situation leaves no room for dropping more points. The players are highly motivated and are working in the best possible way. They understand the importance of this match for everyone at the club, especially the fans. We want to deliver a strong performance for them and continue on this path.”
Meanwhile, Al-Sadd player Guilherme Torres described the Qatar Clasico against Al-Rayyan as a major encounter, particularly for the players, regardless of the two teams’ positions in the table.
He continued: “We are preparing well for the match and aiming to give our best in order to secure victory.”
