Al Sadd coach Félix Sánchez praised his team’s performance in their 2-1 victory over Al Nassr in the sixth round of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite stage.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Sánchez said: “I congratulate the players on winning this very tough match against Al Nassr. We earned extremely important points, and I extend my congratulations to the players and our fans for this victory.”
He continued, “I congratulate all Al Sadd fans and the team. We delivered a strong and significant performance against an offensively capable side. We created many chances and managed to secure the win at the end of the match.”
Sánchez added: “It’s not easy to beat Al Nassr on their home ground. We achieved a crucial positive result away from home, which officially secured our qualification to the Round of 16 in the tournament.”
Regarding the team’s playing style, he said: “Every match has its own approach. We played with our identity. I don’t know how far we’ll go in the tournament. We take it one game at a time, and our goal is to keep improving in the upcoming matches.”
He concluded: “We are on the right track. Qualifying for the Round of 16 is the most important thing for us right now. After that, we’ll focus on what lies ahead.”
