Ooredoo Stars League: Al-Sadd lose to Al-Duhail

Al-Sadd’s first football team suffered a 1-5 defeat against Al-Duhail in the fifth round of the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League. The match took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Khalifa International Stadium.

Al-Sadd’s first team suffered a 1-3 loss against Umm Salal in the Ooredoo Stars League Week 4 clash that took place on Friday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

With this result, Al-Sadd remains at six points from two wins and two losses.

Al-Sadd’s only goal was scored by Hassan Al-Haydos in the 70th minute from a penalty kick. Umm Salal’s goals were scored by Kenji Joelle in the 2nd minute, Antonio Mance in the 22nd minute, and Edidiong Essien in the third minute of added time. The match also saw Al-Sadd player Mohammed Waad being sent off in the 53rd minute. ... 

Youcef Atal joins Al-Sadd until 2026

Al-Sadd Club officially announces the signing of Algerian international Youcef Atal, starting from the 2024-2025 season for two seasons, arriving from French club Nice. This signing is part of the club’s efforts to strengthen the squad in preparation for the 2024-2025 season.

Youcef Atal began his career with Paradou AC in the 2015-16 season, playing for two seasons and participating in 48 matches, during which he scored six goals. He then moved to Belgian club Kortrijk in the 2017-18 season for one season, where he played 10 matches without scoring any goals. After that, he joined Nice in the 2018-19 season, and from January 2024, he played with Turkish club Adana Demirspor for six months. ...
