Al-Sadd player Youcef Atal spoke of his excitement at playing his first home game, in the upcoming match against Iran’s Esteghlal in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite. The match will take place on Monday evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

During the pre-match press conference, Youcef said: “This will be my first match in front of the Al-Sadd fans after the last game against Al-Ain. It will be a tough match, and competition in the Champions League is always challenging. We are aiming for a good performance and to secure the three points.” ... 

Al-Sadd coach Felix Sanchez spoke about the difficulty and importance of the upcoming match against Iran’s Esteghlal in the second round of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite.

During the pre-match press conference, Felix said: “We have a tough game ahead of us against Esteghlal. It’s our first home game, and we are aiming for a win. We secured a positive result in the first match against Al-Ain, and we’re looking to achieve an even better result against Esteghlal.” ... 

Hassan Al-Haydos, the captain of Al Sadd, expressed his great happiness with the 4-2 victory over Al Gharafa in the sixth round of the Ooredoo Stars League.

In his post-match statements, Al-Haydos said: “I’m happy with the win and getting the three points after losing the last two games.” He also highlighted the strong spirit and determination the players showed in the match, which was backed by the support of the fans. ... 

Al-Sadd returned to winning ways in the 2024-25 Ooredoo Stars League by defeating Al-Gharafa 4-2 in the sixth round. The game took place on Thursday, September 26, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The win brought Al-Sadd to nine points from three wins and three losses. Al-Sadd’s goals were scored by Pedro Miguel in the 4th minute, Cristo Pérez in the 7th minute, Akram Afif in the 27th minute, and Hassan Al-Haydos in the 90(+8)th minute. Al-Gharafa’s goals were scored by Joselu in the 42nd minute and Yacine Brahimi in the 59th minute. The match also saw Akram Afif miss a penalty in the 83rd minute. ... 

Al-Sadd head coach Felix Sanchez spoke about the importance of the upcoming Ooredoo Stars League clash against Al-Gharafa, in the Round 6 game which will be played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sanchez said: “We have a very difficult game coming up. We know that after the last game, it is very important for us to show the people that we want to come back into the competition and show a good performance.” ... 

Al-Sadd’s first football team suffered a 1-5 defeat against Al-Duhail in the fifth round of the 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League. The match took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Khalifa International Stadium.

With this result, Al-Sadd remains at six points from two wins and three losses. Al-Sadd’s only goal was scored by Hassan Al-Haydos in the second minute of added time in the first half. Al-Duhail’s goals were scored by Michael Olunga in the 14th minute, Edmilson in the 28th and 41st minutes, Homam Al-Amin in the 33rd minute, and Almoez Ali in the 57th minute. ... 

Al Sadd coach, Félix Sánchez, spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming match against Al Duhail in the fifth round of the Ooredoo Stars League for the 2024-2025 season, which will take place on Saturday evening at Khalifa International Stadium.

During the pre-match press conference, he said: “We have a very tough game ahead of us. We will be facing Al Duhail, who are currently top of the league. They are playing very well at the start of the season, achieving good results and showcasing a unique style of play.” ...

With this draw, Al-Sadd earned their first point in the tournament. Akram Afif scored for Al-Sadd in the 45th minute, while Palacios equalised for Al-Ain in the 80th minute. ...
