Xavi: It will be a very complicated match against Foolad

Al Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez addressed the media ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League game against Iran’s Foolad, stressing on the complexity and difficulty of the game. The Matchday 5 clash will be played tomorrow Monday at the Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “It will be a very complicated match against Foolad, which is very important for us. We suffered against them in the first match. They are a strong offensive team.” ...

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness with his side’s 2-0 victory over Jordanian side Al-Wehdat on Matchday Four of the AFC Champions League 2021 group stage.

Al-Sadd midfielder Guilherme Torres expressed his wish that his team would continue winning, when they face Al-Wehdat of Jordan on Matchday Four of the AFC Champions League.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Guilherme said: “A difficult match against Al-Wehdat awaits us. It will be an intense match and it is like a final for us. We must do our best to continue achieving victories and get closer to the top of the group.” ...

AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd resume training to prepare for Al-Wehdat clash on Matchday 4

The Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Wednesday, inside the sports hall of the team hotel in Riyadh, following the crucial 3-1 win over Jordanian side Al-Wehdat on Matchday 3 of the AFC Champions League.

The Wolves are now preparing to face Al-Wehdat again on Matchday 4 of the tournament, in the game which will kick off at 9 PM on Friday evening at Faisal bin Fahd Stadium. ... 

Xavi: We got an important win over Al-Wehdat

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness after his side’s 3-1 win over Al-Wehdat, on Matchday 3 of the AFC Champions League group stage.

Speaking during the press conference after the match, Xavi said: “I’m happy to win and get the three points. We played well in the first half, and we succeeded in controlling possession. We were able to score 3 goals and it was possible to increase the number of goals, which could help us in the competition for the top spot.” ... 

Khoukhi Boualem: We really needed this win

Al-Sadd’s Khoukhi Boualem said his side were in great need of the 3-1 win over Al-Wehdat in the AFC Champions League group stage.

Speaking after the Matchday 3 clash in Riyadh, Khoukhi said: “We really needed the win over Al-Wehdat after failing in the first two games. We are grateful to God that we managed to achieve this.” ... 

AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd defeat Al-Wehdat 3-1 to register first win

Al-Sadd registered their first win of the AFC Champions League after defeating Al-Wehdat 3-1 in their Group D Matchday 3 clash on Tuesday at the King Fahd International Stadium.

Baghdad Bounedjah put Al-Sadd in the lead with a 2nd minute strike, before Khoukhi Boualem doubled the advantage in the 9th minute. Hassan Al-Haydos then made it 3-0 in the 26th minute. Ahmed Sameer scored Al-Wehdat’s lone goal from a penalty in the 63rd minute. ...
