Al-Sadd head coach Wesam Rizk expressed his delight at his team’s triumph in the prestigious Amir Cup, following their victory over Qatar SC in the final match held at the Education City Stadium.
In his post-match statements, Wesam said, “The players of Al-Sadd played an excellent match and performed at a high level, and I am proud of that. It was a unique and exceptional final in every detail. Al-Sadd deservedly won this major title today after consistently good performances throughout the tournament.” He expressed hope that this victory would serve as motivation for the team in the coming season.
Wesam added that he was confident in his players’ abilities, high spirits, and desire to win. He further stated, “We succeeded in achieving the double this season. I am happy with what we accomplished today. The match was tough against a determined team with high-level players, but we had a strong determination to win the title.”
Regarding adding another title to Al-Sadd’s trophy cabinet, he said, “Winning titles is not new to Al-Sadd; the club is accustomed to being on the podium.”
Wesam also praised the Al-Sadd fans for their attendance and support during the crucial match, emphasizing the importance of their support as a key factor in the team’s success. “The atmosphere inside the World Cup stadium was truly wonderful,” he noted.
