Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez spoke of the difficulty of his side’s QNB Stars League Round 8 game against Al-Ahli, which ended in a 4-1 win for the Wolves.
Speaking after the game, Xavi said: “It was a tough game, and we got an important win. We took a 2-0 lead and then our performance went down, before Al-Ahli managed to score their goal from the penalty.”
He added: “We reacted in a great way after that goal, and we succeeded in ending the game well and to win by scoring four goals.”
As for the next game against Al-Duhail, Xavi said: “A difficult game is coming up next – the most difficult in the season. We are going through an excellent period at the top of the table with a perfect record before this game. Our goal is to win and we will work to achieve it.”
