Al Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez spoke of the difficulty of the team’s upcoming match against Al Rayyan in the Round 3 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “Our next match against Al Rayyan is the Qatar Clasico, a very important match. We defeated them in the last match, but both teams have equal chances in the next, and this is the case with Clasico matches.”
He continued: “Al-Rayyan team is a physically strong side and they’re almost the same as last season’s team, and they have signed Hashem Ali (from Al-Sadd). They have a great coach and we respect them a lot. Al-Rayyan drew in the first two matches, and we won our first two games and got 6 points. We are going through good moments and we must always show our level and play in order to win.”
He added: “Our task is very difficult because we face Al Rayyan while missing many players. We know that we are the favorites to win and we must show that on the pitch. We will try to do our best, of course, and win the three points.”
