Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness after winning the 2021 Amir Cup with a penalty shootout victory over Al Rayyan in the final that was held at Al Thumama World Cup Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Xavi said: “Our players played a good match and showed a great level, and I am proud of that. The match was an excellent final in all the details. Today, Al Sadd won a well-deserved title after a good performance throughout the tournament. I hope this will be a motivation for the rest of the season’s tournaments.”

As for adding a new title to the leader’s championship collection, the coach said: “This is not strange to Al Sadd, as the club is used to winning trophies. Winning the Amir Cup will push us to continue playing well and to add more trophies.”
