Al-Sadd player Youcef Atal spoke of his excitement at playing his first home game, in the upcoming match against Iran’s Esteghlal in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite. The match will take place on Monday evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
During the pre-match press conference, Youcef said: “This will be my first match in front of the Al-Sadd fans after the last game against Al-Ain. It will be a tough match, and competition in the Champions League is always challenging. We are aiming for a good performance and to secure the three points.”
The Al-Sadd player continued: “In the Al-Ain match, I suffered from muscle strain, but thankfully, I am in good health and form now, and ready to help my team achieve victory.” He pointed out that in the Champions League, no team is easy, as all clubs are strong and have high-level players. “We are preparing well to secure our first win in the tournament.”
Youcef concluded by saying: “We are looking forward to the support of Al-Sadd fans against Esteghlal. We will be stronger with them, and we hope to gift them the victory, God willing.”
