Al-Sadd attacker Yousuf Abdurisag spoke of his happiness at returning to the club after the end of his loan spell, and also expressed his desire to help the team in the new season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the opening QNB Stars League clash against Al-Kharaitiyat, Yousuf said: “I am happy to return to the team. I benefited a lot from my time on loan (at Al-Arabi) and I think I am ready to help the team (now).”
He added: “Of course, playing under the leadership of Xavi, I will benefit a lot; he is a great coach and he was a great player.”
“God willing, I will try and help the team. We have both the QSL and the Champions League, so hopefully there will be a chance for us young players and God willing, we will try to perform well and help the team in the best way.”
As for the upcoming season opener, the Qatari international said: “The game against Al-Kharaitiyat will surely be tough. It’s the first game and every team wants to get the first three points and start the campaign well. We will give a lot of importance to this game and try to get our first three points.”
