Al-Sadd’s Akram Afif was named as the winner of the Best Player award for the 2019-20 season, after receiving the highest number of votes, over the other contenders Yacine Brahimi of Al-Rayyan, and Edmilson of Al-Duhail.
Akram received 60.91% of the votes to win the award for the second season in a row. It’s been an impressive season for Akram, as he lifted the Sheikh Jassim Cup and Qatar Cup with Al-Sadd, while also finishing with 15 goals in the QNB Stars League to be named as joint top scorer with Brahimi.
Meanwhile, Tarek Salman won the Best U-23 Player award, receiving 53.9% of the votes, ahead of Khaled Muneer of Al-Wakrah and Homam El Amin of Al-Gharafa.
