Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino said that winning the league is the result of an entire season’s effort in which the team delivered a high level of performance.
He said: “We are happy with the victory, the title, and lifting the Doha Bank Stars League trophy, reaching the 19th league title in Al-Sadd’s history. It is undoubtedly a special and exceptional day in the team’s journey this season, a season marked by determination and a strong desire to win the title.”
He added: “The competition was tough, but Al-Sadd always proves its ability, and we hope the team’s achievements continue in the next stages.”
Hassan Al-Haydos: Proud of what we achieved and we aim for more
Al-Sadd captain Hassan Al-Haydos said: “We are happy to have won the title deservedly, and we are looking forward to more. Al-Sadd achieved its goal by lifting the league trophy, and the players showed fighting spirit in all matches.”
He added: “There was a strong desire from everyone to win the title. We thank Al-Sadd fans for their presence and support. We are happy that we were able to make them proud, and we are motivated to deliver even better performances in the remaining competitions this season.”
Meshaal Barsham: Winning the title was difficult
Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham said that winning the league title was extremely difficult, adding: “The players played big and strong matches until the title was decided in the final match against Al-Shamal in Round 22. The fans also played a major role in supporting the team.”
He continued: “From the beginning of the season, we were focused on winning the title. We knew how to achieve our target and lift the trophy, which will give us extra motivation for the future.”
