The Al-Sadd first team concluded its training on Saturday, at the club’s secondary pitch, in preparation for the match against Al-Arabi in the sixth round of the QNB Stars League. The match twill be held on Sunday evening at the Grand Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the match sitting at the top of the QNB Stars League table with 13 points from 4 wins and a draw, while Al-Arabi are ranked ninth with 5 points.
Saturday’s final training session saw the team work on physical exercises and light drills, and at the end of the session, head coach Xavi announced the 21-member matchday squad, which is as follows: Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Mohammed, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al Haydos, Muhammad Waad, Nam Tae-hee, Tarek Salman, Khoukhi Boualem, Baghdad Bounedjah, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Santi Cazorla, Abdelkarim Hassan, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hashim Ali, Akram Afif, Hussam Kamal, Musaab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail
The squad announcement witnessed the continued absence of goalkeeper Saad Al-Dosari, who is undergoing treatment with the medical staff of the Qatar national team after suffering an injury in the friendly against Ghana last October.
Following the final training session, the Wolves left for an overnight camp at the Messila hotel, from where they will travel to the match venue on Sunday.
