Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah expressed his happiness after the team’s 6-4 victory over Al-Gharafa in Round 6 of the QNB Stars League.
Baghdad said in his statement after the match: “We achieved an important victory over a good team. Al-Gharafa always plays strongly against us. The fatigue of international players had an impact on the performance, but we thank God for the win and the three points.”
“We managed to score early, which helped us decide things in the second half,” he added.
Regarding the defensive mistakes that the team made today, the Algerian striker said: “The whole team is responsible for the mistakes, not just the defenders, and we will work to correct that with the coach in the coming days. We played well despite the mistakes and achieved a good victory that kept us at the top of the league.”
