Al-Sadd coach Javi Gracia described his side’s 4-2 win over Al-Arabi as “important” and emphasised the need to maintain the same level in the upcoming games.
In his statement to the club’s website after the match, Gracia spoke about the difficulty of derby matches, and said: “I’m happy to win this game. Derby matches are always different and special. We started the match well and scored an early goal. Then, the match became even between the two teams.”
About the team’s lead at the top of the table, Gracia said: “The team’s position is good at the top, but many important matches await us, and we do not care at the moment about the difference in points. We must maintain the same level and improve from one match to another.”
