Al-Sadd concluded preparations to face Muaither in the Round of 16 of the 2022 Amir Cup, with a final training session on Saturday, at the club’s training facility.
During the final session, the coaching staff implemented the physical training programme, along with some light skill drills, before head coach Javi Gracia announced the list of players for the game. The squad consists of the following 19 players: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Yousef Al-Balushi, Pedro Miguel, Tarek Salman, Musaab Khidir, Abdulkarim Hassan, Santi Cazorla, Rodrigo Tabata, Ali Asad, Khoukhi Boualem, Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Baghdad Bounedjah, Akram Afif, Andre Ayew, Hassan Al-Haydos, Jung Woo-young, Moustafa Tarek, Yousuf Abdurisag.
The squad announcement saw the return of Akram Afif, after he missed the last game against Umm Salal due to suspension.
Brazilian midfielder Guilherme Torres will miss the game against Muaither due to a muscle injury. He will require three days of rest before returning to participate in group training.
