Al-Sadd captain Hassan Al Haydos stressed the importance of the 1-0 victory over Muaither, which took the team into the quarter-finals of the Amir Cup.
Al-Haydos said after the match: “Thank God for the victory, but the performance was not up to expectations, especially for our fans, but in such matches the most important thing is to win and qualify for the next stage of the tournament.”
He added: “There is enough time in order to correct the mistakes that we have made recently, especially in wasting many opportunities, which has been repeated for the second time in a row after the last match in the league.”
