Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham expressed his satisfaction with the 2-1 victory over Al-Markhiya, in the nineteenth round of the Expo Stars League.
Meshaal affirmed in his post-match statements: “The match against Al-Markhiya was challenging, especially considering that the opponent is battling to avoid relegation. We are striving to maintain our lead, and we are thankful to have secured the victory and three points in the final moments of the game.”
He denied that Al-Sadd approached the match against Al-Markhiya under psychological pressure due to Al-Gharafa’s win over Al-Arabi and the intensifying competition for the league’s top spot, stating: “We focus solely on our own results and aim to deliver our best and secure victories in every match.”
