Al-Sadd clinched their first victory in this season’s AFC Champions League by defeating Al-Faisaly of Jordan 6-0 in their Group B third round clash held on Monday evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

With this win, Al-Sadd’s tally now stands at four points from a win, a loss, and a draw. The scoring spree for Al-Sadd included a hat-trick by Baghdad Bounedjah with his strikes in the 8th, 50th, and 64th minutes, as well as goals by Gonzalo Plata in the 51st, Mustafa Tarek in the 52nd, and Yousuf Abdurisag in the 83rd minute. Al-Faisaly’s Nizar Al-Rashdan received a red card in the 45th minute.

The match began with a strong and swift offensive performance by Al-Sadd, with Baghdad Bounedjah scoring the opening goal in the 8th minute. A precise cross from the left by Mohammed Waad found Bounedjah’s head, securing the first goal for Al-Sadd.
