AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd resume training to prepare for Al-Wehdat clash on Matchday 4

The Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Wednesday, inside the sports hall of the team hotel in Riyadh, following the crucial 3-1 win over Jordanian side Al-Wehdat on Matchday 3 of the AFC Champions League.

The Wolves are now preparing to face Al-Wehdat again on Matchday 4 of the tournament, in the game which will kick off at 9 PM on Friday evening at Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.

The coaching staff preferred to reduce the physical load on the starting players in order to avoid fatigue and stress, and instead they underwent recovery training along with some water exercises in the swimming pool, while the rest of the players went through vigorous training at the hotel gym in order to prepare for the next match.

The Al-Sadd delegation also underwent Covid-19 tests on Wednesday afternoon, as per the procedure ahead of the next game, at the team’s residence at the Burj Rafal hotel.

Meanwhile, the pre-match press conference for the upcoming match is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Thursday.
