Akram Afif expressed his happiness with Al Sadd’s 5–1 victory over Al Rayyan in the ninth week of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Speaking to the media after the match, Afif said: “Thanks to God for the win. We played a good game with a clear strategy and tactics to get the victory, especially since our position in the league hasn’t been good. We did what was required and won the match.”
He added: “Al Sadd is back, but we are taking the league one match at a time. The big win over Al Rayyan is not a benchmark — we must work hard and stay focused in the upcoming matches to keep the winning momentum.”
Regarding the fan attendance expected in the upcoming AFC Champions League match, he said: “Our situation in Asia also requires our fans’ full support. We consider it a decisive match — the fans must be there, and the players must give their best for them and for the club’s badge.”
