The Al-Sadd first team defeated Lusail FC 2-1 in a friendly game which was played on Thursday at the club’s training facility.
The match was organised as part of the preparations for the start of the new 2021-22 QNB Stars League season in September.
Al-Sadd began the match with the following lineup: Jehad Mohammed, Mohammed Mannai, Abdullah Ismail, Abdulrahman Mohammed, Ahmed Sayyar, Guilherme Torres, Mahdi Salem, Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Andre Ayew, Baghdad Bounedjah.
The match was divided into four quarters of 20 minutes each. Al-Sadd opened the scoring through Abdullah Al-Yazidi in the third quarter, before Baghdad Bounedjah doubled the advantage in the fourth quarter. Towards the end of the game, Lusail reduced the deficit with their lone goal.
