Al Sadd Sports Club’s headquarters witnessed a special ceremony on Tuesday, with the signing of an extension to the partnership between the club and New Balance, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of apparel and footwear.
The event was attended by the club’s CEO, Turki Al-Ali, and the CEO of New Balance for the Middle East, Africa, and India, Stuart Henwood. Under this agreement, New Balance will remain the official partner of Al Sadd’s first football team until 2030.
New Balance has been the official sponsor of Al Sadd’s first team for the past three seasons. The signing ceremony was also attended by Mohamed Ghulam Al-Balushi, the club’s sports director; Ahmed Al-Ansari, the club’s media and marketing director; Mohamed Saeed Al-Hassan, the first team manager; and first-team stars Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Barsham, Pedro Miguel, and Paulo Otávio, along with many Al Sadd affiliates and fans.
Turki Al-Ali expressed his happiness with the extended partnership, stating, “Al Sadd is a major target for most investors and one of the most attractive Qatari clubs for sports investments. The club always seeks to partner with distinguished entities in various fields.” He added that renewing the partnership with New Balance as Al Sadd’s official partner for the next five years until 2030 reflects this strategy.
The CEO emphasized his confidence in the mutual benefits of the partnership, noting that Al Sadd was the first in Qatar and the Middle East to wear the New Balance brand. He highlighted the strong relationship between the two parties over the past three years, which paved the way for a seamless extension of their partnership.
Stuart Henwood, CEO of New Balance, expressed pride in the renewed agreement, stating, “This partnership reflects New Balance’s commitment to supporting Qatari sports, particularly football. We are thrilled to continue this relationship for another five years.”
Henwood added, “Over the past three years, Al Sadd has been a model club that aligns with our ambitions in the Middle East. This alignment of visions has contributed to the smooth renewal of our partnership.”
He concluded by saying, “Renewing this partnership is a testament to the continued collaboration between Al Sadd and New Balance. It ensures that New Balance remains an integral part of the Al Sadd Football Club family, contributing to the development of an ambitious generation of Qatari athletes who meet our shared aspirations.”
